Spring 2011 OLIS-LORI Delivery Items Count Results

About the Survey

In February 2011, the 192 library facilities that receive regular OLIS-LORI Delivery services were asked to record and to report their out-going item counts. The survey took place from February 27 through March 5, 2011, with 100% of network libraries participating. All together, 56,074 items were transported in the OLIS-LORI Delivery system during the week.

This was the first time that OLIS conducted the delivery items count in the spring in addition to its annual November survey.  We hope the twice a year data gathering will help us to better understand this important service.  The survey results provide OLIS with valuable insight into the growth of Rhode Island’s resource sharing activities. The information is also crucial for OLIS to plan for the future of this vital service to the state’s library services.
