Formed in 2012, the Multi-type Reference Working Group brings together library professionals from all types of libraries to collaborate and share ideas and skills that will enrich, strengthen, and promote reference services throughout the state.


MTRG is a community of practice that welcomes reference librarians from public, academic, school, hospital and special libraries to dicsuss developments in reference services and to compare and share methods and resources to make reference services better at all types of libraries. The MTRG group plans continuing education programmimg and offers these programs at different times of the day so that librarians from all types of libraries have an opportunity to attend. A plannng meeting is held every October and most subsequent meetings of the group are conducted via web-ex. The group generally plans 4 continuing education events per year.
